Lip Blush – Before Care

To get the best results from your lip blush treatment, proper prep is essential. Please follow these important guidelines:

• Avoid alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for 24–48 hours before your appointment, as these can increase bleeding and reduce pigment retention.

• Exfoliate gently and hydrate your lips in the days leading up to your appointment to prevent dryness or cracking.

• If you’ve ever had a cold sore, take an antiviral (like Valtrex) 1–2 days before and after your procedure to prevent an outbreak.

• Avoid fillers, Botox, or chemical peels around the lips for at least 2 weeks prior.

Microneedling

Why a 4–6 Week Touch-Up Is Essential for Permanent Makeup

Why a 4–6 Week Touch-Up Is Essential for Permanent Makeup

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that uses a device with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates your body’s natural healing response, boosting collagen and elastin production for smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin. Reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars.

Before we begin, a topical numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.

Aftercare Tips:

• Avoid makeup, sweating, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours.

• Keep the skin clean and allow it to breathe.

• Use only gentle, natural skincare products such as:

• Aloe vera gel (pure)

• Rose water spray

• Hyaluronic acid serum (no added fragrance or harsh chemicals)

• Chamomile or calendula creams for calming

Avoid retinol, acids, and exfoliants for at least 5–7 days after treatment.

Results improve over time as collagen continues to rebuild—your skin will thank you!

Why a 4–6 Week Touch-Up Is Essential for Permanent Makeup

Permanent makeup is a two-step process—and the touch-up at 4 to 6 weeks is just as important as the initial procedure. Here’s why:

1. Healing Affects Color Retention

As your skin heals, it naturally sheds and regenerates, which can cause some pigment to fade or heal unevenly. The touch-up allows us to perfect the color, shape, and saturation once your skin has settled.

2. Everyone Heals Differently

Your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare all affect how pigment heals. Some areas may lighten more than others, or small gaps may appear. A second session ensures everything looks balanced and even.

3. It Completes the Process

The first session builds the foundation; the second session locks in the results. Skipping the touch-up can leave your results looking incomplete or fading too quickly over time.

4. It Maximizes Longevity

When your permanent makeup is properly layered and reinforced, it lasts longer and fades more gracefully, giving you beautiful, low-maintenance results for years to come.

AFTER CARE

Permanent Makeup & Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

Thank you for trusting us with your permanent makeup or tattoo procedure. Proper aftercare is

essential for optimal healing and long-lasting results. Please follow these instructions carefully:

First 24 Hours:

- DO NOT touch the treated area. Avoid contact with unwashed hands to prevent infection.

- DO NOT get the area wet. Keep it completely dry for the first 24 hours to protect the pigment.

- Avoid touching your eyes after an eyeliner procedure to prevent irritation or infection. Do not insert contact lenses for 24 hours.

- Reduce Swelling: You may apply a clean, cold compress or ice pack wrapped in a clean cloth to

the area for 10-15 minutes at a time. Ensure no water seeps into the treated area.

- Anti-Inflammatories: You may take over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication (such as

ibuprofen) to reduce swelling if needed.

Days 2-7:

- Moisturizing: After the first 24 hours, apply a thin layer of ointment (such as Vaseline or coconut oil)

2-3 times daily for up to three weeks. Use a clean cotton swab for each application to avoid

contamination. DO NOT overapply.

- Avoid Picking or Scratching: If scabbing or peeling occurs, allow it to flake off naturally. Picking can

cause pigment loss, scarring, and infection.

- Avoid Sun Exposure: Keep the area protected from direct sunlight to prevent fading. Wear a

wide-brimmed hat and avoid tanning beds.

- No Makeup: Refrain from applying makeup to the treated area until it is fully healed.Four-Week Touch-Up:

A touch-up appointment in 4 weeks is vital for long-term pigment retention and achieving the desired

look. This step is necessary to maintain the color and shape for the full year.

Long-Term Care:

- Moisturize Daily: Continue to keep the area hydrated with a gentle, unscented moisturizer to

maintain pigment vibrancy.

- Sun Protection: Apply SPF 30+ to the area once it is fully healed to prevent fading.

- Avoid Exfoliants: Do not use retinol, glycolic acid, or other exfoliating products on the treated area,

as they can prematurely fade the pigment.

- Touch-Up Maintenance: Schedule annual touch-ups to maintain color and shape.

Important:

Expect the area to look darker and more intense for the first few days. Color will soften as the skin

heals.

If you notice excessive redness, swelling, oozing, or signs of infection, contact us immediately or

seek medical advice.

For any questions or concerns, please contact us directly. Your healing and satisfaction are our top

priorities!
